About the Los Angeles Angels
Meet our team
- This team belongs to the MLB, a professional baseball team in the United States. As many of you may know, Shohei Otani, who is a two-way player and won the American League MVP last year in 2021, is also a member of the team. The Angels were founded in 1961. At the time, MLB was concentrated on the East Coast, and the team was the first to be based on the West Coast and in California. In 2002, they won the World Series. Although they have not had any major achievements since 2002, the Angels are a team with momentum, with players such as Shohei Otani, outfielder Mike Trout, who has won the MVP award three times, and many other excellent players. By the way, the Angels are affectionately known to locals as the Halos, which refers to the halo of light that the angels wear. Their home stadium is the Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
Here are some tips for watching the game
ticket
How to buy tickets
Recommended seats
Section | View from the seat | Price (excluding tax) | comment |
111-113 | $94-$150 | Not only can you watch the game, but you can also see the dugout (bench seats), making it a fun seat all year round. When the players finish their offense or defense and return to the dugout, you can get a good look at their expressions.
114-116 | $250 - $151 | You can watch the next batter's circle (where the next batter prepares by taking practice swings) and the players at bat up close. The players may even turn to face you when you call out to them. If you sit in a seat with a good view of the ball, you can also experience what it's like to be an umpire. If you sit in this seat, you can enjoy special access to the Diamond Club restaurant and enjoy meals and drinks.
411-415 | $28 | These seats are relatively inexpensive, but you'll be watching the game from directly above. You'll feel very close to the field, and compared to the outfield seats, these seats offer a more realistic feel. If you're lucky, you might even be able to catch a foul ball. |
Transportation
Best way to get there from Downtown Los Angeles
- Railway
If you use Metrolink , you can travel between LA and Anaheim for about $8 one way ( $10 round trip on weekends). It is very convenient because it arrives at the station platform right in front of the stadium. The journey takes about 45 minutes. (For more information , click here )
- bus
Flixbus. Prices vary, but you can generally travel between LA and Anaheim for less than $10 one way. Within Los Angeles, there are routes departing from Hollywood, Downtown LA, Pacoima Center, and UCLA. This bus arrives at the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center, about a 10-minute walk from the stadium. There are people waiting for buses and trains at the center at all times of the day and night, so there are no safety issues. (More details here )
Pre-match tip
Important points to note when checking luggage
- There are strict restrictions regarding bags, and backpacks in particular are prohibited from being brought on board, so be careful.
Warm Up
- Before the game starts, all players except the pitcher and catcher warm up in front of seats 108-110. Regardless of your seat, you can watch the warm-up up close in the front of the first floor seats before the game starts.
Pitching practice
- Before the game, pitchers practice pitching in a place called the bullpen. Usually, people who come to watch the bullpen practice gather in the front of seat 101. However, if you want to see the pitching itself up close, we recommend that you secure seats 257-260 and watch from there.
During the match
Food and drink!
- When watching a baseball game, it is essential to have a drink in your right hand and food in your left hand! This time, I would like to introduce some of the most popular foods and drinks offered at Angel Stadium.
Food ☆ Recommendation
- Nachos cart "Helmet Nachos" This is our top recommendation! This is the featured item, packed with a mountain of ingredients and tortilla chips in a helmet-shaped container with the Angels logo. You can choose your own ingredients, such as homemade chicken, beans, nacho cheese, guacamole (avocado dip) (see "Southern California Style! Guacamole Recipe Introduction" here), and jalapenos, to order your own original nachos. You can also take the container home as a souvenir, so it's two birds with one stone! They are sold all over the stadium. The portions are large, so we recommend sharing with two people.
- Saint Archer Brewing Co. Restaurant While some restaurants are only available to those with specific tickets, Saint Archer Brewing Co. is open to all ticket holders. It's not required, but it's very popular so it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance. They serve a variety of dishes, mainly Italian, including short ribs braised in beer and poutine, a traditional Canadian dish of fries topped with cheese and gravy. As the name "brewing" suggests, you can also enjoy delicious beers and ales that go well with these dishes 🍺 (SoCalization beers are here)
- "Saint Archer Pretzel" This is a particularly popular item. It is made fresh in-house and served piping hot. It is served with jalapeño cheese sauce and homemade blonde ale mustard. It weighs about a pound (0.5 kilograms) and is very filling.
- Jersey Mike's This chain restaurant originated in New Jersey, the hometown of Mike Trout, a veteran player of the team. They serve cheese steak sandwiches, ham sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, and more.
Drinks ☆ Recommendations
- There are beer stands all over the stadium! They serve high quality and delicious beer. Most of the prices are around a dozen dollars. Each stand sells products from one company. For example, Modelo, Blue Moon, Golden Road, Firestone Walker, etc. There is also a pub called Brewery X.
After the match
