I'm currently typing away at my computer, and there's been an update on the announcement made the other day about the launch of the new almond sparkling wine, Almond Secco.
As the title says,
A small amount of almond secco was ordered.
Paired with two types of Christmas cake!
One is a fruit tart Christmas cake with lots of fruit,
The other is a classic Christmas treat: a Buche de Noel cake filled with fresh chocolate!

Here are my thoughts straight away...
The almond secco went really well with the fruit tart cake!
As for pairing, Almond Secco, a medium-dry almond sparkling wine, is a sparkling wine that is more sour than sweet.
As a result, the pairing with the sour fruits such as strawberries, oranges, and kiwis on the fruit tart cake created a synergistic effect, as if doubling the deliciousness of each fruit.
In terms of texture, the crispy crust of the tart and the fizz of the sparkling wine create a nice contrast.

As for the Buche de Noel, the almond secco is a little sweet, so it doesn't go well with it, but it tastes better with regular almond sparkling wine, which has a sweeter taste. (I compared pairings with both using mini bottles .)
In particular, the Buche de Noel that I ordered from Cake.jp is a type of cake that contains very rich and moist raw chocolate, and is very sweet.
The almond sparkling wine and Buche de Noel have a sweet synergy, the flavors of chocolate and almond go well together, and the moist texture is accompanied by a fizzing bubble that washes over your mouth...
This is also very good! Lol
Once the Almondsecco project starts, we will also have a tasting set of both drinks available, so if you are into pairings, we recommend you consider getting a tasting set as a return.
*As an aside, if you are planning to celebrate a belated Christmas after the 25th, I recommend Cake.jp ! If you order in the morning, it will arrive the next day.

The release date for the new project has been decided.
I would like to make it New Year's Day 2025 !
The reason for this is that this project is to raise awareness of the FAMILY FIRST spirit, so we hope that when families gather together for the New Year, it will provide an opportunity for people to talk about supporting each other as families and supporting each other as spouses!
