January 23rd is Almond Day! Moeko Fukuda introduces the ambassador's media event

Almond Day has come around again this year!
January 23rd is Almond Day, which was established by the Almond Board of California because eating 23 almonds a day provides sufficient vitamin E, which is good for beauty and health.
In this post, we will introduce the online event held for the media on January 20th and announce the special Almond Day events that will be held at SoCalization afterwards.

The ambassador is Moeko Fukuda.
First, the ambassador to spread the appeal of almonds was introduced: Moeko Fukuda, the first bachelorette!
Speaking of Fukuda Moeko, she regularly posts about her sporty lifestyle on Instagram, and apparently carries around a case full of almonds, which have antioxidant properties, to prevent oxidation in the body after exercise.
As an aside, SoCalization carries wine from Malibu Rocky Oaks, the setting for the US version of The Bachelorette.
How to Make Homemade Almond Milk
Jeffrey Muromachi, owner of TOKYO JUICE, which serves healthy smoothies and other drinks, showed us how to make homemade almond milk.
What surprised me was that almond milk only contains almonds and water, and no milk itself! I had always thought that almond milk was milk with an almond flavor, but when I thought about it, it wasn't vegan milk lol.
Through friendly conversation, he showed me how to make almond milk. The recipe is below.
All you need is a blender , a strainer for the almond milk, and a nut milk bag .
It looks delicious, so I'd love to try making my own almond milk when I have the time!
Almond butter jelly smoothie?!
Following almond milk, two types of smoothies were introduced.
On the left is the "Almond Butter Jelly Smoothie" and on the right is the "Super Beauty Charge Smoothie."
The recipe is as follows, and if you use frozen bananas it will be smoother and thicker. Try making it according to your preference.
There was no recipe for the Almond Butter Jelly Smoothie, but Moeko Fukuda praised it highly , so I'm very curious! If you're raised in the West, you often eat sandwiches with peanut butter and jelly (fruit jam) as a snack, but this really seems to be a replacement for that with almond butter.
Introducing the Omotesando collaboration store
The press event concluded with the introduction of a collaborative menu between the Almond Board of California and a restaurant in Omotesando.
All the menu items looked delicious, but the one that caught my eye the most was the almond-scented fried pork and cheddar cheese waffle with California almonds from BUTTERMILK CHANNEL Harajuku. The almond-sprinkled batter is a very innovative idea, and I'm curious to see what the aroma and texture will be!
The waffles have a strong salty cheddar cheese flavor, which would go really well with the almond sparkling wine sold at SoCalization!
I'd like to try it as it seems you can also order takeout.
Almond Sparkling Wine Special Event
Lastly, let me just announce SoCalization!
