Lujan de Cuyo is historically known as one of the main wine-producing regions of Mendoza. This is an excellent Argentine Cabernet full of fruit. It has a greenish wheat color and fresh, delicate aromas, with hints of green apple, pear, and thyme. The wine has a long finish, with well-balanced acidity and minerals. In contrast to the damp 2016, 2017 was a very dry growing season due to the influence of La Niña. The average temperature in early spring was lower than usual, and the yield was greatly reduced by frost in the latter half of the year. February was cool and rainy. The harvest began late on February 16th and was completed on April 20th. The weather and climate at harvest time were excellent, and healthy, high-quality grapes were harvested. The yield was 3.5 to 4.5 tons per acre. The vineyard is located at an altitude of 1,100m. The grapes are trained using VSP and irrigated with drip irrigation. The average age of the vines is 15 years. The soil is coarse sandy loam, with sharp rocks scattered on the top due to soil erosion. Indigenous and selected yeasts are used. MLF is performed in barrels at the same time as the first fermentation. Aged on the lees for 12 months. 50% new French oak barrels are used. Unfined and bottled in March 2018. "BraMare" means "longing for love" in Etruscan, which was used in the Tuscany region of Italy before the Common Era. The name was given in honor of the Italian immigrant Marchiori family, the owners of this vineyard. The exquisite wine that the Marchiori family has longed for has finally been produced from the grapes of this vineyard. The BraMare brand is an educational wine that allows you to compare the terroirs of the sub-appellations of Lujan de Cuyo and Valle de Uco, which are considered to be the best grape-producing areas in Mendoza. Lujan de Cuyo is characterized by its fruity flavors, while Valle de Uco is characterized by its spices.
