Field Information
Alder Springs Vineyards
Located in the north of Mendocino County, in an area with few vineyards nearby, no one except owner Stuart Brewery thought that this location could produce quality grapes.
The winery has been supplying wine since 1993, and its vast 57-hectare vineyards have 85 plots with a wide variety of rootstocks, clones and varieties, reflecting the owner's preferences and his flexible personality that is willing to accept anything.
The region is located in a very cool mountainous area at an altitude of 520 to 820 meters, and although cultivation there is a constant challenge, the success is reflected in the grapes, which have low yields, excellent acidity, and strong characteristics that reflect the complex nature of the land (mineral texture) of each variety. These varieties have been recognized by discerning producers who procure the grapes from them.
