Limited time collaboration, IPA craft beer with green tea
After the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, Stone's brewmaster Mitch Steele, Baird Brewing's Bryan Baird in Shizuoka Prefecture, and Toshi Ishii of Ishii Brewing in Guam (who worked at Stone for three years from 1998) to help Japan recover. After gaining various experiences as a brewer, after returning to Japan, he completed the current recipe of "Yona Yona Ale" as the COO of Yoho Brewing, and established Ishii Brewing in Guam after independence. A unique “Sencha IPA” that uses Shizuoka sencha brewed as a tea and 5 types of hops.
They made a limited comeback in 2015, but they decided to make a limited comeback this year as a result of fan voting! This recipe uses 5 types of hops from the northern and southern hemispheres, as well as green tea leaves to create a unique herb-like flavor.
The hop-derived mango and pineapple-like aroma is combined with the dill herb-like scent unique to Sorachi Ace hops.
Herbal, green tea, and hop fruity flavors all come together in perfect harmony.
When you put it in your mouth, the scent of green tea will first pass through your nose, and then the hop flavor like peach, apricot and mango will be asserted.
It is perfection that fans who have been waiting for the revival of this beer will surely like! Now, drink up that glass and say "Mou Ippai (one more glass)!"
