A perfect balance of rich hops and caramel. A blissful drink that can be enjoyed with food.

This beer has a perfect balance of strong hop character, rich caramel and aromatic malt character. This wonderful balance of sweetness and bitterness also makes it perfect for pairing with food. The rich and aromatic body goes great with a variety of foods, including BBQ, steak and pizza.

The name Sabre-Toothed Squirrel came from when founder Jonathan Porter came across an article in Wired Magazine announcing the first discovery of a sabre-toothed squirrel fossil. At the time, Porter was in the midst of developing Hoppy Amber, and upon reading the article, he immediately knew he had found the perfect name. He immediately returned home and announced, "I've named this amber after the one I'm currently making," and at that moment, Sabre-Toothed Squirrel was born.

When poured into a glass, the aroma of pine and sage overflows. Soon after, fruity aromas of lemon, pineapple, mango, and other flavors, as well as sweet, fragrant caramel and juicy plum from the malt, follow. The taste is similar to the aroma, with a balanced mix of pleasantly bitter sage, juicy plum, and sweet caramel and chocolate flavors. The body is medium, making it easy to drink without feeling the alcohol. The finish is light and crisp. A drink with a very good balance of hop bitterness and malt bitterness.

Note: A squirrel with abnormally overgrown front teeth that may have existed in the Cretaceous period. The character Scrat from the animated film "Ice Age" looks very similar to the sabre-toothed squirrel.
