A fruity and hearty flavor reminiscent of the Carneros sunshine.
The vanilla flavor from barrel aging adds a nice accent.
The aftertaste has just the right amount of acidity and herbal aroma, making it a very high quality wine for a standard Chardonnay.
It is said that it is difficult to produce high-quality Pinot Noir in California, but Dick Ward and David Graves traveled throughout the state in search of the ideal location. They came across the newly designated Carneros AVA and found that this was the land they were looking for. I was convinced that this was the case.
Their elegant style quickly became a hot topic and in 1983 they were even served at a banquet for Queen Elizabeth.
Their style, which remains committed to this region, has a deep, fruity flavor that is representative of the Carneros climate.
In recent years, the style has evolved into something more sophisticated, heralding new possibilities for Carneros.
