Ferrington Vineyard is located west of the town of Booneville in the Anderson Valley AVA.

Grapes were first planted here in 1970, and Ferrington Vineyard was the area's first commercially producing vineyard.

Anderson Valley is a narrow AVA that runs perpendicular to the Pacific Ocean, allowing ocean breezes to pass through it from night to dawn.

The shallow topsoil (approximately 40cm) is sandy loam, beneath which is a thin layer of clay and then Franciscan sandstone bedrock.

This brand is owned by Samantha Sheen, a talented female winemaker who is a hot topic among American wine lovers.

Samantha began studying winemaking after a trip to Burgundy.

Behind the world's most famous and expensive Burgundy wines lie humble and homely winemakers, and I was fascinated by this solemn and honest world of wine.

After returning to California, Samantha founded POE.

Their motto is not to produce imitations of "Burgundy wine made in California," but to produce limited quantities of attractive, elegant, single-vineyard wines that are carefully crafted with a strong sense of California's terroir and can be aged for a long time.
