Aged for about 4-6 months in French and American barrels (new and used for several years), 2/3 of which is spent completing malolactic fermentation to add complexity. Tropical fruit aromas such as melon and peach are added, along with nuances of vanilla, hazelnut, and butter popcorn from barrel aging. The taste is rich and creamy, with a pleasant oak aroma. Goes well with white fish, shellfish, roasted pork, and cream sauces. 2020 VTG won a gold medal at the Sakura Awards.
