A cantina located on the Ramole hill in the Greve in Chianti region.

Ramole is the name of the land as well as the name of the Sangiovese gene discovered here.

The name Ramole di Ramole means "the original Sangiovese".

It is said that the Sangiovese of Brunello di Montalcino originated from vines transplanted from Ramole.

This land is ideally located, dry and well ventilated with no humidity buildup.

Also, because it is on a slope, the drainage is good and this environment produces a clean, pleasant acidity.

We own 47 hectares at an altitude of 350 to 600 meters.

This area is the highest in the Chianti Classico region.

It is currently reported that there is a movement to separate the Ramole area from Greve in Chianti as a sub-zone of Chianti Classico, and become "Ramore in Chianti".

This shows that the unique terroir of Ramole gives Chianti Classico more character and diversity, and that it contains the qualities to produce great wines.

The soil consists of three parcels: one Galestro soil and two soils composed of clay, sand and stone.

The average age of the trees is about 20 years.

However, some of the trees are over 70 years old.

The climate is characterized by moderate rainfall in spring and autumn, cold winters and warm summers.

This area experiences extreme temperature differences due to the winds blowing in from the northern Apennines, which results in grapes that are rich in sugar and polyphenols, and have a beautiful acidity and elegance.

Enologist Andrea Daldin is a specialist who worked alongside his predecessor, the retired H. Pariani, in winemaking for about 20 years.

He is from San Gimignano and his father is a wine grower who makes Vernaccia.

All five of his brothers are still in the wine business, making this a true wine family.

Since he was a child, he has been helping his father with his work, so the wine business is ingrained in him and he can say that this job is his calling.

Certified organic by Q certificazioni since 2018.
