Street art is like winemaking.

In both cases, the environment influences the work, and the artist and the landscape collaborate.

This wine opens with sophisticated aromas of raspberry, white tea leaf, fresh mint and subtle hints of lavender.

The flavours are layered with milk chocolate, fig juice concentrate, dark plum and liquorice, the texture is angular yet refined and the finish features chocolate ganache.

This red blend pairs well with beef sliders, citrus marinated pork sandwiches, and beef and pork meatballs with chipotle sauce.

2021 was a very warm growing season, giving the wines powerful and concentrated flavors.

And the cool nights typical of harvest season helped preserve the great natural acidity that is characteristic of Washington.

The red wines are deep and concentrated, while the whites are bright, lively and show off their varietal character.

- Grapes grown in fields close to the Columbia River with little rainfall produce wines with deep, concentrated fruit flavors and a refined texture.

- 60% of the final blend is made from grapes from vineyards in the heart of Horse Heaven Hills.

In this blend, Malbec takes center stage, beautifully integrating with Cabernet Franc and understated Cabernet Sauvignon.

- 50% of the selected grapes are left to soak with the skins for around 9 months after fermentation, giving the wine a very complex and fresh character.

After a long maceration, the wine was pulled from the skins at the moment when the tannin structure was optimal.

- Less than 10% is fermented in concrete tanks.

Aged for 11 months in 100% old French oak barrels. Launched in 2016, INTRINSIC Wine Co. was inspired by the similarities between street art and winemaking.

In both, artists are challenged to work with unpredictable canvases, blending intuition and experience to create something vibrant, bold and ephemeral.

Winemaker Juan Muñoz-Oca has used his knowledge and experience to combine the incredible quality tannins of Washington grapes to push the boundaries of wine in the same way that street art pushes the boundaries of urban aesthetics.

When making red wine, most wines are left in skin contact for about a month, but Intrinsic wines are left on the skins for nine months, giving the wine an unexpected silkiness and additional layers and depth.

The result is a simple yet sophisticated wine.

Intrinsic also announced a partnership with GLAAD in 2021.

Through positivity, GLAAD tackles tough issues, shapes the national script, and sparks conversations that lead to cultural change.

This partnership was born out of a deep need to move wine culture forward to be more welcoming and inclusive.

Intrinsic continues to support GLAAD in empowering and highlighting leading voices in the LGBTQ+ community.

Together, we strive to foster inclusivity and accelerate acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community within the wine and beverage industry and beyond.

Intrinsic grapes come from renowned vineyards within Washington State's Columbia Valley and Horse Heaven Hills AVAs.

The Columbia Valley and Horse Heaven Hills AVAs have the ideal terrain and conditions for growing premium wine grapes, with warm sunshine and cool nights during the growing season creating ideal conditions for the development of aromas and flavors in the ripe grapes.
