The wine is made from a blend of grapes grown in Flowers' own organic vineyard, Sea View Ridge, as well as grapes from long-time contract farms such as Hallberg Ranch and Bohan Ranch, which share Flowers' philosophy.

The aroma of red berries is beautifully combined with blueberries, and the scent of violets, spices and evergreens adds depth.

Finely grained tannins and beautiful, rich acidity round out the overall flavor.

The quality is unbelievable for a standard product.

The Sonoma Coast, which is heavily influenced by the cold currents of the Pacific Ocean, has long been considered unsuitable for growing grapes.

Walt and Joan Flowers, seed farmers in Pennsylvania, decided to pursue their long-held dream of making wine in this "too cold" land, and despite the ridicule of those around them, they found a small plot of land on a hill overlooking the sea.

This is the name that would later become known throughout the world as "Camp Meeting Ridge."

This area got its name from the fact that Native Americans once gathered here to escape the summer heat and as a trading post. The temperatures are extremely low, and the grapes do not ripen properly under the famous California "fog."

Therefore, their fields are located at an altitude of about 400 meters, where the fog does not reach.

California's strong sunshine and cold temperatures, these opposing elements, give it a unique flavor that can't be found anywhere else.

It was Steve Kistler who first recognised the great potential of this vineyard. He bought grapes from the couple and produced excellent Chardonnay, which made Flowers famous all over the world.

This area has become widely known as the new mecca for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and is now attracting top-class wineries.

After the Flowers retired, the Funeas family took over their philosophy and now all of their vineyards are grown using biodynamic methods, producing excellent wines every year.
