Like the classic West Coast style IPA, this Union Jack has an aggressive hop effect and a striking balance.

Although it is an American craft beer, the name “Union Jack” is reminiscent of England. It's a tribute to David Walker.

Unlike the flagship product DBA, this is made with 100% stainless steel tanks for the main fermentation.

Launched in February 2008 and the first in the brewery's Jack series, this IPA is generously hopped, with Magnum for bittering and Cascade and Centennial in the late boil. After giving the aroma, Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial, Citra, Chinook and Simcoe are dry hopped twice to create a spectacular grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, apricot and citrus flavor. A contrasting pale malt sweetness keeps the overall balance.

The finish has a slightly pleasant acidity, and the refreshing and ideal carbonation helps the mouthfeel to be very smooth.

While paying homage to the style of IPA, which originated in England, the American style of innovation forms a “Union”, further boosting the reputation of the “West Coast of America”, which continues to lead the IPA revolution.

Union Jack is the IPA that helped blaze the trail for the revolutionary West Coast style. Named for the British Lion who cofounded our brewery, Union Jack is hopped to high hell yet eminently balanced from start to finish. any hop head. Pronounced pineapple, citrus and pine aromas with intense flavors of grapefruit and tangerine, all balanced by a hint of malt sweetness.
