First Hazy IPA for Firestone Walker.
Firestone Walker-like Hazy style that was completed over a year of trial and error.
It all started with Weizenbock, who Brewmaster Matt met when he visited Gutmann Brewery in Germany.
Weizenbock is a traditional beer style that has been brewed in Germany for over 50 years, with a white cloudy, creamy mouthfeel and an impressive tropical banana aroma.
Inspired by this historic beer, Matt and his team set out to create a beer that "hazy IPA everyone can agree on, and which also stands out as Firestone Walker's originality."
At the same time, we sought to match the quality of other Firestone Walker IPAs.
Mind Haze's haze isn't from yeast and starch residue like regular Hazy-style beers, Matt explains, but from the action of natural proteins, tannins and enzymes.
The muddy beer created by this natural action not only created the rich texture and texture that everyone expects from a Hazy IPA, but also succeeded in producing a high-quality Hazy IPA.
The name Mind Haze is a dual connotation of the fog that always hangs over California's Central Coast, and of confusing and clouding the idea of what a Hazy IPA is.
When poured into a glass, the hop-derived grass and resinous scent overflows.
Soon followed by citrus zest notes of lemon and orange zest followed by juicy tropical fruit notes and malt aromas of slightly sweet caramel and cracker biscuits.
When you take a sip, the flavors of tropical fruits such as pineapple and lychee spread out, and among them there is a soft bitterness like firm grass and resin, creating a perfect balance between fruitiness and mild bitterness.
Medium bodied with a clean dry finish.
Juicy yet refreshing to drink.
