This wine is named after the owners and founders, Mr. and Mrs. Evenstad.
The two men, passionate about Burgundy wine, continued to make this wine in the belief that even better wine could be made in Oregon, and it is a wine that represents Oregon and continues to be praised around the world.
The art of blending has been a quality hallmark of Domaine Serene's winemaking program for over 30 years.
It is this artistry that has made Evenstad Reserve our flagship and standard-setting wine for Oregon Pinot Noir since its first vintage in 1990.
The 2021 Evenstad Reserve Pinot Noir is a refreshing and elegant vintage.
Made from 100% grapes grown on our own vineyards, it has a silky texture and is perfect to pair with chicken or duck confit.
The scent features rose petals, wild strawberries, strawberry candy, sweets, fine Italian leather and hibiscus.
In the mouth, it has a sweetness reminiscent of candied cherries, a light body and firm tannins.
The blueberry compote and velvety texture will linger long after the last bite.
Domaine Serene produces beautiful Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from grapes lovingly grown on their own vineyards in the hills of Dundee Hills, Oregon's renowned wine-growing region.
Vineyard management and winemaking techniques are focused on the goal of producing complex, concentrated and elegant Pinot Noir and Chardonnay every year.
To achieve concentrated flavour, we use very low yield cultivation methods (average yield of 30hl/ha for all varieties).
All grapes are hand harvested and undergo rigorous selection.
The lots from each vineyard are fermented separately in small open fermentation tanks and then aged in carefully selected oak barrels from different origins in France.
From start to finish, the wine moves by gravity flow without the use of pumps, with minimal human intervention.
The Pinot Noir is aged in barrels for 14-18 months and is unfined, unfiltered, and racked at bottling.
Our own vineyard Chardonnay from the Dijon clone is fermented in small French barrels and aged sur lie for 10-15 months.
All wines are bottled and aged for at least one year before being shipped.
