DINING
Perfect as an aperitif or to accompany a terrine of foie gras, figs and spices or a red fruit dessert. Also an excellent dessert wine.
TASTING
A bright deep pink color. The cute fruitiness reminiscent of fresh strawberries is its greatest charm. The alcohol content is only 7.5% (8.5% in some years). It is juicy. It is a sweet wine with a pleasant sugar content and slight bubbles, but the freshness that lingers at the end makes it very easy to drink.
COMMENT
Jean-Paul Brun of Domaine des Terres Drays is based in the village of Charnay in the southernmost part of Beaujolais. He is a unique producer who has been making Beaujolais wine according to his own unique philosophy since the 1970s.
Gamay and Chardonnay, finished using traditional Burgundy techniques, are highly acclaimed worldwide.
WINEMAKING
This sparkling wine is made using the Méteau de Ancestral method and is made from 100% Gamay. It has an alcohol content of 7.5% and retains a subtle sweetness of the grapes.
The vineyards are located on calcareous clay soils with a southwesterly exposure (300m above sea level) and are hand-harvested.
This wine is full of Jean-Paul's playful spirit, including the name "FRV100" (which means "effervescent" in French).
