The Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 Vintage is the second release from Freelander. 2018 began with a mild spring, and favorable temperatures during the summer allowed the grapes to grow well. Due to the heat wave that continued from Labor Day in early September, the sugar content of the grapes rose sharply, so the winery staff rushed to harvest. Aged for 10 months in American oak barrels, it is full-bodied with rich, rich flavors of blackberry and cassis. Smooth, balanced and full of complexity.
