It was founded in 2004 by Jeff O'Neill, former CEO of Golden State Vintners and named "Person of the Year" by Wine Enthusiast magazine in 2022. It is one of the fastest growing wineries in California and has earned a reputation as one of the industry's top premium wine and spirits producers.
The Creamery uses only the finest California grapes, including Sacramento, Clarksburg, Monterey and Arroyo Seco, sourcing from multiple vineyard regions to create harmonious blends.
The winemakers are Mark Rasmussen, senior winemaker at parent company O'Neill Vintners with over 35 years of winemaking experience, and young winemaker Steven DeCosta, who is dedicated to creating unique wines from the finest appellations and fruit, and who introduces the latest technology throughout the winery and oversees research and development.
