She has been wowing judges and fans since her first vintage.

Black belt in peach and apricot deliciousness.

Perfect for spicy Asian dishes.

An unconventional winemaker creates a totally unexpected dry Riesling.

One night, Charles was eating Chinese takeout and watching a fight scene from Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill."

And at that moment, Kung Fu Girl was born.

Since then, the name of Kung Fu Girl has been spreading rapidly.

Shocking taste.

Harmony and balance.

Strength and kindness.

This wine is the essence of Kung Fu.

Aromas of apricot, white peach, honeysuckle, and wisteria stimulate the senses.

A refreshing mineral taste spreads throughout your mouth, making this a wine that will leave you feeling refreshed until the last drop.

Only this girl can do this.

That's kung fu.

Planted by Jerry Milbrandt in 1998, this vineyard sits behind a bluff overlooking the Columbia River in the Ancient Lakes AVA.

Located in a cool area influenced by the Columbia River, the soil is composed of nitrogen-poor collapsed basalt, gravel silt and caliche (calcium carbonate sedimentary rock) deposited by glacial floods.

This vineyard produces grapes with great minerality, prominent acidity and excellent balance that winemakers all praise.

The 2021 vintage in Washington State was a fantastic one.

Yields were reduced for all varieties resulting in a very concentrated harvest with all ripening at once, but the quality was excellent.

The weather during the ripening period was perfect, without any extreme weather events, resulting in excellent colour for the red wines and high acidity for all varieties.

Charles Smith Wines was founded by our first winemaker, Charles Smith.

He was originally a rock band manager and a small wine shop owner before starting his own business with 300 cases of wine he made in his own style.

Charles Smith has won numerous awards, including Winery of the Year and Winemaker of the Year, and is now one of Washington's leading winemakers.

It's not just his appearance that is unforgettable once you see it, but the same goes for his label design.

The theme of Charles Smith Wines is “modernist” - wines for people who like modern, new sensibilities and trends.

Wine to buy today and enjoy today.

You'll be amazed at how high the quality is, just as it looks impressive.

This is a casual wine that represents Washington, where you can experience the true character of the grape variety and vineyard.

Label design: Artistic, iconic and instantly recognisable, the playful label has been acclaimed since the first vintage was released in 2006.

The concept alludes to the flavors and pairings of wine, and the design was done by Charles' longtime friend Ricky Koff.

Raised in Denmark, she worked as design director for the premium line at Levi Strauss before starting her own design house.

"My design style has always been, and will always be, functionality, modernity and simplicity.

It is based on this pure perspective.

Combine that with the soul of rock and roll and raw honesty to create a future icon and cult brand.
