Planted in 1929 by Italian immigrant Frank Terdeschi, Terdeschi is home to neatly arranged rows of vines over 100 years old, making it one of the vineyards that symbolizes the history of Dry Creek Valley, a region where abundant sunlight and cool fog coexist.

The blend of Petite Sirah and Carignan gives it a complex flavour.

Only 150 cases of wine are produced each year, carefully crafted from hand-picked grapes.

Founder Matt Smith interned in the lab at Beaulieu Vineyards during his university years.

Matt's passion for winemaking blossomed from spending time with winemakers, and after graduating he furthered his training at Dash Cellars and JC Cellars, which shared a winery with Dash at the time.

Matt had received offers from several other wineries, but he was attracted to their thorough focus on quality winemaking and chose to continue working there.

In 2013 he started his own winery in Alameda where he creates several unique handcrafted wines.

During local product research for Hotei Wines in 2017, they discovered his wines, which offered excellent value for money in Napa Valley, where prices continued to rise, and decided to release them.
