100% Chardonnay, 100% grapes from our own Stanley Ranch vineyard. Aged for 10 months in French barrels (30% new). Bursting aromas of lemon custard, pineapple and toast. A typical example of Carneros Chardonnay. This wine is vibrantly fresh, yet multi-layered and complex. It retains a natural acidity that gives it just the right amount of richness. Its structure and slight saltiness are reminiscent of a Burgundy Chardonnay.
Vintage Information
Overall, the 2020 growing season was excellent. After a warm, dry winter, bud break began early and the weather remained mild throughout the spring and summer. This allowed the grapes to ripen slowly, producing pure, lively flavors and supple, full-bodied textures. The white wine harvest began in early August, allowing us to produce wines that reflect the vintage and have the potential to age well.

Whole bunch pressed. Fermented with natural yeast. Minimal stirring. 100% MLF fermentation.
