100% Sauvignon Blanc. From Bents Vineyard in Pope Valley, located southeast of Napa and east of Howell Mountain, and Las Ceresas Vineyard in Yountville. Fermented and aged for 5 months in French cigar barrels (320 liters) and puncheons (600 liters) that have been used for several years, as well as cube-shaped concrete tanks (910 liters) using natural yeast. Complex flavors are developed in different types of fermentation tanks. Attractive aromas of tropical fruits and honeysuckle, lively acidity and pure fruitiness. Enjoyable for 5 years.
Vintage Information
Ample rainfall during the winter and spring led to bud break more than a week earlier than normal, resulting in abundant fruit set, and warm, stable weather continued throughout the spring and summer.
Harvesting began in Mary Vale on August 16th, and accelerated due to a series of extremely hot days around Labor Day on September 5th.
Subsequent rain brought back cooler temperatures, allowing the grapes to ripen sufficiently.
The year 2022 is being called "A Tale of Two Harves."
Grapes harvested before Labor Day produced wines that were crisp and vibrant, while those harvested afterward produced wines that were rich and powerful.
According to winemaker Andrew, the 2022 Merryvale white wine has perfect acidity and freshness, giving it outstanding taste and mouthfeel.

Tasting Comments
Attractive aromas of tropical fruits and honeysuckle.
By dividing the wine into small batches and using barrels of various sizes and shapes, we are able to create a complex mouthfeel and flavor, while by using large barrels that have been used for several years, we are able to bring out the purity of the fruit.
As the wine opens up, sharp acidity and fruity complexity emerge, resulting in a long finish. It can be aged for 5 years.
