COMMENT
This is a long-established maison that has been in business since 1850 in Sancerre, a famous wine-producing region in the Loire region. The maison owns many vineyards with "silex" soil, where the best wines in Sancerre are made, and produces wines that can be aged for a long time, with an emphasis on terroir. The owner, Henri Bourgeois, is a big fan of Japan and has visited the country more than 60 times.
This wine is a charming example of the Loire, evocative of red fruits. It has a refreshing fruitiness and a slight spiciness that spreads pleasantly.
WINEMAKING
The grapes are pressed whole bunches and fermented in stainless steel tanks at 16-20℃ with temperature control. They are then aged on the lees for 3 months.
