The first growth vineyard of Puligny-Montrachet, Folatieres, produces great white wines. Like other distinctive Puligny wines, Folatieres has distinctive aromas of ferns, honeysuckle, and toasted bread, and is a wine that expresses the terroir to the fullest. The soil is made up of chalk, pebbles, and limestone deposits. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, including 25% new barrels.
