Drouhin has several first-growth vineyards in Chambolle-Musigny, but the plots are small and the yield is insufficient to name each vineyard, so the grapes from Les Noirots, Les Hauts Dois, Les Borniques, Les Plantes, and Haut Combottes are bottled together as Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru. The wine is aged for 14 to 18 months in French oak, including 20% new barrels. It is characterized by its delicate, silky smoothness and very long aftertaste.
