One sip and you'll be greeted with the exotic, irresistible aromas of ripe peaches and freshly picked apricots on a warm, sunny day.

Hints of honeysuckle and mandarin orange envelop the senses, while crushed slate, wisteria and delicate white rose intertwine to captivate and linger.

This Viognier is so beautiful and noble.

The wine comes exclusively from Art den Hoed's vineyards in the Lower Yakima Valley.

Located at an altitude of 396m, this vineyard has excellent air circulation, making it one of the cooler vineyards in the region.

2023 was truly an "ugly duckling turned beautiful swan" vintage.

It was a very long, wet, cold winter with some pretty hard freezes and very little spring-like weather.

Budbreak began in late April and we were honestly very nervous about how this would affect the vintage.

However, Mother Nature was on our side, providing us with ideal temperatures for grape growing and some of the most beautiful May and June we have ever experienced.

Mild weather continued into July and August, allowing the fruit time to ripen perfectly for the harvest.

The white wines were an outstanding year, with a great balance of acidity and complexity, and the reds were also outstanding, being rich, bold and with incredible tannins.

This is a vintage to watch for many years to come.

Charles Smith’s arrival on the world wine stage has been nothing short of amazing.

Owner/winemaker Charles Smith managed rock and roll bands in Europe for 11 years before moving to Walla Walla and starting K Vintners with a shoestring budget.

Charles' wines exude the excitement of his rock and roll roots, but honest quality and values are the foundation of his winemaking.

Charles produces several brands under different labels: Charles Smith Wines, most of which are made to be drunk the same day they are purchased, and they combine easy drinking, affordable and high quality.

Charles also produces some of America's most fascinating and highly acclaimed Syrah under his original K Vintners label.

K Vintners' wines are made in extremely small quantities to appeal to discerning connoisseurs.

Over the past decade, Charles Smith Wines and K Vintners wines have received 66 scores of 95 or above and more than 300 scores of 90 or above from America's leading wineries, Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast.
