It is organically grown on rugged coastal ridges.

With elevations ranging from 1,150 to 1,400 feet and complex microclimates, each block ripens at its own pace and the grapes are carefully and individually hand-harvested.

The unique combination of cool ocean breezes cutting through the forest, intense sunlight and rocky soils produces vibrant wines with deep textures and enticing flavours.

The Sonoma Coast, which is heavily influenced by the cold currents of the Pacific Ocean, has long been considered unsuitable for growing grapes.

Walt and Joan Flowers, seed farmers in Pennsylvania, decided to pursue their long-held dream of making wine in this "too cold" land, and despite the ridicule of those around them, they found a small plot of land on a hill overlooking the sea.

This is the name that would later become known throughout the world as "Camp Meeting Ridge."

This area got its name from the fact that Native Americans once gathered here to escape the summer heat and as a trading post. The temperatures are extremely low, and the grapes do not ripen properly under the famous California "fog."

Therefore, their fields are located at an altitude of about 400 meters, where the fog does not reach.

California's strong sunshine and cold temperatures, these opposing elements, give it a unique flavor that can't be found anywhere else.

It was Steve Kistler who first recognised the great potential of this vineyard. He bought grapes from the couple and produced excellent Chardonnay, which made Flowers famous all over the world.

This area has become widely known as the new mecca for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and is now attracting top-class wineries.

After the Flowers retired, the Funeas family took over their philosophy and now all of their vineyards are grown using biodynamic methods, producing excellent wines every year.
