From nearby Larry Stone Vineyard, Stilling Vineyard, and our own Paul Gailey and Airey plots. 15 minutes of skin contact, pressed slowly with pressure to slowly incorporate the elements of the skin. Fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks for 5 months, then bottled in January 2023. A pale salmon pink pressed style (white wine making), it is impressive for its nuances of red fruits such as cherries, excellent acidity and freshness.
The first import of Cristom Pinot Rosé in 2021 has been a big hit! The 2022 edition has also been secured!
Rosé is extremely popular in the United States, especially at winery events.
Although we have always requested this product, it sold out immediately after release and was difficult to get available for export overseas, but we were able to secure it in good time for 2022 as well as 2021.

Vintage Information
In 2022, after a rainy winter, a warm spring brought early bud break, but very cold days arrived in April, causing frost damage in much of the Villamet Valley, but fortunately not serious damage in Kristom.
Warm weather continued from summer through to autumn, ensuring a long growing season.
The grapes were fully ripe, making this the warmest vintage in Chrism's history, following 2015.
Technical information
Clone: 115
Winemaking method: Immediately after harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery and slowly pressed with the stems still attached (the stems act as a cushion, allowing the juice to be pressed gently, resulting in a pure juice without any bitterness).
After letting it settle in the tank overnight, it is transferred to a stainless steel tank and fermented and aged with natural yeast for four months before being bottled in January 2023.
Tasting Comments
Although it is a direct press (white wine production) with a pale salmon pink color, it prominently expresses the fresh red fruit and lively acidity typical of Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir.
The aroma is full of nuances of strawberry, Rainier cherry (large American cherry), and watermelon.
The taste is one of mellow white peach with a refreshing acidity that spreads throughout your mouth.
It is refreshing yet has a rich and complex flavor that allows you to fully experience the excellent acidity potential of Pinot Noir.
Field Information
In 2022, this rosé will be made 100% from Witness Tree Vineyard, located just north of our own vineyard.
It rises gently from the lowest part of the same hill facing east and continues to the exact north side of Marjorie's field.
It is surrounded by forest but is located slightly lower than the Kristom fields.
The depressions, where cold air tends to trap, retain their beautiful acidity because of their coolness, making them ideal for producing elegant and charming rosé.
