Vinification: Harvested and sorted by microclimate, each is brewed separately. Whether or not to remove the acidity is determined based on the condition of the grapes that year. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is transferred to new barrels and aged for 10 months, then further aged in an underground cellar. After bottling, the wine is stored in the deepest underground cellar, where the temperature is kept at 13°C and humidity at 75%.
Medium-bodied with fleshy ripe tannins, very good minerality and acidity, superb tension courtesy of the tensile, almost steely tannins and it build towards a very focused sorbet fresh finish with a long stony aftertaste. Thanks to the quality of its soil and its situation, The Clos de Tart Grand Cru combines the strength of a Chambertin and the elegance of a Musingny.
