Located at the southern end of Burgundy, on the border with Beaujolais, the cultivation area includes the outskirts of the village of Saint-Véran. Saint-Véran's beautiful vineyards are surrounded by hills, so half of them are hidden. It was established as the newest appellation in the Macon region on January 6, 1971. The Jurassic limestone is an extension of the limestone layers of the Côte d'Or, and is considered ideal for growing Chardonnay. It has a rich fruitiness with yellow fruits, beautiful acidity and a mineral feel, and a fresh and mellow taste.
