Superior Sauvignon Blanc made with organic farming methods
McGinley Vineyard is the name of the field that Ojai has a contract with. Located in the Santa Ynez Valley, relatively close to the urban area of Santa Barbara, this vineyard, like the other vineyards contracted in Ojai, is a valley extending east and west, and is a cool area with drafts.
Ojai founder Adam Tolmach has been using this plot of land since 1998 to grow Sauvignon Blanc painstakingly.
The soil is so poor that the vines instinctively nourish the fruit rather than the leaves to preserve the seeds, resulting in a surprisingly flavorful Sauvignon Blanc.
Aromas of flowers such as citrus and chamomile, crunchy Japanese pear, blue ring flavor, and a touch of earthy minerality. Aged for 7 months in aged French oak barrels that are not too strong.
91 Parker points . This wine has been on the wine list of Che Panisse, which is said to have defined "California cuisine" by promoting local production for local consumption and organic farming, and has been loved by well-known restaurants for many years.

The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc McGinley Vineyard is rich, textured and incredibly inviting. In many vintages, the McGinley Sauvignon is a bit edgy, but the 2018 is all about palate resonance and breadth. Dried pear, mint, chamomile and dried flowers all open up effortlessly Although the 2018 is not especially varietal (at times it is more Chenin-like), it sure is beautiful. This is a gorgeous expression of Happy Canyon, on the eastern edge of the Santa Ynez Valley. Poor soils on this site naturally yield small crops

The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc McGinley has restrained scents of poached pears and white blossoms with touches of green herbs and crushed stone. The palate is light to medium-bodied, blossoming out to perfumed fruits in the mouth with bright freshness and a long finish. , understated style.
