Only in San Diego! A new beer inspired by Mexican tepache.

San Diego, where Thorn Brewing is located, is right on the border with Mexico. It is an area where people come and go across national borders for a long time, and each other's cultures are deeply mixed. In Mexico, there is a traditional fermented drink called tepache, which is made by fermenting a liquid containing pineapple juice, brown sugar called piloncillo, and several kinds of spices, and this beer was inspired by it.
As with Tepache, pineapple is used, and cinnamon and cloves are added as an original arrangement.
A sour ale with light acidity, fruity sweetness, and complex spices.

Inspired by the traditional Mexican drink made by fermenting pineapple, piloncillo, and spices, this sour ale uses whole pineapples, a smidge of cinnamon, and a skosh of clove to create a beer that's refreshing, complex, and delightfully effervescent.

Bright, tart, and full of layered pineapple flavor, this easy-drinking sour ale finishes with hints of cinnamon and clove.
