Tropical & hoppy San Diego style IPA
According to Thorn, the beer's name, Relay, represents the sequential introduction of Simcoe, Centennial, Amarillo, and Citra hops during brewing. It was made based on the recipe that was brewed at home by head brewer Eric O'Connell. This San Diego-style IPA has a pronounced hop character and is moderately malty and bitter. Hoppy flavors of passion fruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple and pine. It won a bronze medal at the 2019 LA International Beer Competition.
