Complex and exotic aromas of ripe red cherries, cloves, licorice, sandalwood, and vanilla emerge in a gorgeous bouquet.

When you put it in your mouth, the ripe fruitiness that seems to be condensed with energy, the crisp acidity, and the dense, generous tannins spread out in a three-dimensional way, leading to a long, complex aftertaste.

This wine offers an overwhelming sense of scale and potential, achieved by blending six Dijon clones produced in three vineyards in the Santa Rita Hills.

Xander Soren worked as an executive at Apple Inc. for 20 years, where he worked with Steve Jobs on the creation of world-changing digital music such as the iPod, GarageBand, and iPhone ringtones.

He has had a strong love for Japanese culture since he was a child, and in 2012 he set out to create California wines that complemented the Japanese cuisine he loves most in the world.

The winery has hired Shalini Seikal as its winemaker, who has worked at prestigious wineries such as Williams Selyem, Stags Leap, and Roar, and was named Best Winemaker at the 2015 San Francisco International Wine Competition. The winery is committed to producing wines in accordance with the Burgundy winemaking philosophy.

These carefully crafted wines are produced in small quantities of less than 100 cases of each item from carefully selected vineyards such as Santa Rita Hills and Sonoma Coast, and their complexity and delicacy make them a perfect match for Japan's seasonal ingredients.
