From multiple vineyards in Carneros. Aged in French barrels for 11 months (15% new barrels). From our own vineyard, Stanley Ranch, we use a clone selected by Massale. This is not to bring out the individuality of a single clone or vineyard, but to create a wine that is unique to Carneros. - To bring out the characteristics of Pinot. The interesting thing about Pinot from Carneros is that it has a gorgeous fruitiness, but also the earthy and muffled nuances that are characteristic of Pinot Noir, giving it complexity. Deep garnet, blackberry, ripe plum, earthy aroma with a fragrant aroma from the barrel. A wine with a modest acidity, moderate weight and density, and a light balance of richness and tannins.

Tasting Comments

The appearance is pale ruby color.

Subtle hints of juniper berries bring out salty minerality that underpins flavors of black cherry, kirsch and graphite.

The initial mouthfeel is tight but becomes fuller towards the middle, and the finish is long-lasting with velvety, well-integrated tannins.
