Fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in oak barrels. Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is harvested in a cool region closer to the sea, and has a wonderful flavor that is balanced with acidity without relying too much on fruitiness.
A wine that reflects the cool, windy climate of the Sonoma Coast AVA, the Sonoma Coast climate and terroir provide growers with optimal conditions for concentrated flavors and long hang times that impart natural acidity and vibrant red cherry and raspberry flavors.
Technical information
Fermentation: Fermented in stainless steel tanks for 10-12 days (pumping over 3 times a day)
Aging: We use stainless steel tanks, large barrels that have been used for several years and do not produce the barrel aroma, and 225-liter barrels from France that have been used for several years.
Tasting Comments
The aromas and flavors are reminiscent of raspberries, cherries and spices, with lively acidity on the finish. The minimal use of new oak allows this Pinot Noir to shine with elegance, and the lively acidity on the finish makes it a great match for grilled fish, poultry and barbecued meats.
