The surface is a well-drained loam layer, and the lower layer is sandstone, shale, and ancient greenstone. The average temperature during the growing season is 20°C, making it ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 26 months in French barrels (100% new barrels). David Ramey consults. Rich and deep flavors of blackberry, plum, chocolate, and mocha.

Vintage Information

The winter of 2017 was wet, breaking all-time precipitation records by mid-April, filling lakes, ponds and reservoirs.

Although the summer brought several heat waves, making it a changeable and unforgettable year, the grapes grew well and high-quality grapes full of concentrated flavor were harvested from September 19th to October 20th.

Technical information

The grapes are divided into small lots and carefully selected, then the bunches are selected and the grapes are fermented in barrels for a long aging period, with the wine aged for 26 months in 100% new French barrels.

Tasting Comments

The result is a rich, deep wine with a complex blend of black berry and cassis flavors.

The aroma of plum, chocolate and mocha stands out, and the aftertaste is full of mellow tannins and umami, making it an enchanting experience.

Field Information

Located east of the town of Cloverdale, Brothers Vineyards covers 57 hectares and sits at elevations ranging from 120 metres to 317 metres.

The surface is a well-drained loam layer, with underlying layers of sandstone, shale, and ancient greenstone.

The vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, with a small amount of Malbec on the ridges.

The average temperature during the growing season is 20°C, which is ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon.

The vineyards have many west-facing slopes and plenty of afternoon sun, which gives the wines characteristics of chocolate and black fruit.
