Roberts Road Vineyard owned by San Giacomo is located on a gentle slope facing west at the foot of Sonoma Mountains. It is also mixed with slightly reddish clay soil. 75% stainless steel fermentation, 25% French wooden barrel fermentation, then aged for 14 months in French barrels (40% new barrels). The aroma of raspberry, cherry, and strawberry blends with the aroma of anise, cinnamon, and cedar. The enchanting tannins create a delicate and transparent liquor, and the balanced acidity enhances the aftertaste.
Vintage Information
2022 was another excellent vintage. Although bud break was late, cool, dry weather throughout the growing season allowed the grapes to develop slowly and steadily and retain lively acidity. A heatwave arrived in the first week of September, helping the grapes ripen to an ideal level.
Technical information
Clones: 777, 115, Swan
We believe that in order to pair with Japanese cuisine, which maximizes the potential of fresh seasonal ingredients, it is necessary to produce a red wine that combines transparency, delicacy, and freshness.
Based on the idea that Pinot Noir is the red wine that can meet these requirements, all three red wines currently being released by Noria are Pinot Noir.
Among them, the Sonoma Coast Cuvee is characterized by its plump, soft and natural spice aroma.
This is a blend of Swan clone, which has rich acidity, 777 clone, which expresses both the delicacy and richness of the fruit, and 115 clone, which produces a solid liquor quality.
Winemaking: Natural yeast used, 75% stainless steel tank/25% fermentation in new French barrels, aged for 14 months in French barrels (50% new). Unfiltered, unfined.

Roberts Road Vineyard: Sand, gravel and slightly reddish clay
This Pinot Noir comes from San Giacomo's own Roberts Road Vineyard, located midway between Santa Rosa and Petaluma on the gentle slopes of the Sonoma Mountains.
Located about 20km inland from the coastline, there is a gentle breeze and plenty of sunshine.
The soil is a mixture of sand, gravel and slightly reddish clay, providing good drainage.
Planted in 1998.
