Aged for 10 months in French barrels (40% new barrels). The aroma of red and black berries is fragrant, and the flavor and complexity spread throughout the mouth. Medium-bodied, with pleasant tannins and refreshing acidity supporting the fruitiness, it has a long and deep aftertaste. The charm of Sonoma Coast is the red berries and excellent acidity, while the characteristic of Russian River Valley is the nuances of black berries (blackberries, cassis, etc.) and forest aromas.
Vintage Information
It was a very dry start to the growing season with only 50% of normal rainfall.
This was achieved through aggressive measures such as early thinning and pruning, careful cover crop management, and targeted irrigation.
The spring and summer were mild, with no major heat waves, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, without excessive sugar levels or excessive acidity.
We waited patiently until September 1st, when the acidity and fruit flavors were in perfect harmony, and began harvesting the Chardonnay.
The result is a wine of ideal ripeness, soft texture and beautiful concentration of flavour.

Tasting Comments
The wine has a subtle aroma of black fruits such as black cherries, blueberries, and raspberries, as well as baking spices such as cinnamon, cloves, and allspice. In the mouth, the tension and refined tannins are balanced, and the refined flavors of cedar and cassis linger on the palate.
