The Rutherford & Yountville Valley floor brings out soft tannins and juicy fruitiness, while the Atlas Peak hills add firm tannins and elegant acidity. Fermented in stainless steel tanks (20-day maceration), aged in French barrels for 12 months. It also has hints of black fruits such as blackberries, black currants, and black cherries, as well as cocoa. The texture is very smooth, with lively, fresh fruit and gently refined tannins. Medium-bodied, it balances well with a variety of foods.

Tasting Comments

The elegant aroma is layered, with a gorgeous scent of black fruits such as blackberry, black currant, and black cherry, and a hint of cocoa.

It has a very smooth texture, with a pleasant, vibrant, fresh fruit flavor and soft, well-rounded tannins that spread throughout the mouth.

While fully expressing the richness of Napa Valley's fruitiness, it is not overly emphasized, but rather has a medium body and a restrained finish that is well balanced with a wide variety of foods.

You can enjoy the possible synergistic effects of pairing it with a variety of cuisines, including Italian, French, steak, Chinese, Japanese, and ethnic cuisine.
