We believe that Syrah is the best variety to bring out the unique character of Washington, and we are confident that the Syrah from Les Collines Vineyards is one of the top five vineyards not only in Walla Walla Valley but in the state of Washington.
The finish is reminiscent of Northern Rhone wines such as Chave and Bernard Foley.
Our goal is to create a Syrah that retains a subtle oak aroma, is spicy and powerful, yet also has finesse and elegance, making it suitable for drinking with meals without relying on strength.

Tasting Comments
Full of earth, rock, mineral elements, flesh and blood nuances.
Classic Syrah and packed with the charm of Les Collines.
The flavors of smoke, pepper, red meat, and red, blue and purple berries linger for a long time.
When you put it in your mouth, you can taste the beautiful acidity and freshness of the fruit.
The tannins are firm yet the mouthfeel is very silky.
As you continue drinking, the flavor of red fruits increases and herbs (pepper, tarragon, nutmeg, etc.) appear.
Amazing length and complexity.
It has the potential to rival John Lewis' higher-end cuvées.
Food Pairing: Excellent with charcuterie (salami and sausage).
You can enjoy classic game (duck, quail, etc.) with fruit sauces, roasted red meat, and spicy Mexican and Thai dishes.
Field Information
Les Collines Vineyard is located on the eastern foothills of the Blue Mountains in the Walla Walla Valley of Washington State. It is divided into small plots on the slopes at an altitude of 347 to 418 meters.
Gramercy Cellars sources grapes from Blocks 36, 46 and 49, located at elevations between 380-417 metres up the slope.
The topsoil at the top of the slope is very shallow and well-drained, and the vines' roots grow deep into the bedrock, drawing up moisture, nutrients and mineral matter from the ground.
This allows us to source grapes that are biologically healthy, have a balanced fruit and acidity, and are perfect for complex flavors.
In 2019, the vines will be from Block 46 and Block 49, which has been grafted from Cabernet Sauvignon to Syrah.
