The wine is made from grapes from 5-35 year old vines in the Rock Cairn Vineyard, a vineyard located on the border between Oakville and Yountville. 20) A blend of 70% Rock Cairn and 30% ghost blocks from the Yountville vineyard. Aged for 24 months in French barrels (60% new barrels). In the mouth, the flavors of cassis, boysenberry, and black cherry are layered, with beautifully balanced tannins and a long, elegant finish. This wine is full of the charm of Oakville.

The wines are made from grapes from 5-35 year old vines at their own Rock Cairn Vineyard, located on the border between Oakville and Yountville. From the vineyard to the western hills, there are many super famous wineries such as Harlan Estate, Robert Mondavi, and Opus One.

Rock Cairn has good drainage and is said to bring out the best characteristics of Cabernet Sauvignon in particular.

The vineyard is divided into five blocks based on the age of the vines, and by blending them together it is possible to produce a wine that perfectly reflects the characteristics of the vineyard.

In 2020, 30% of grapes from our own Ghost Block vineyard in Yountville were also blended.

Vintage Information

Spring and summer in 2020 were generally cool and mild, with heat waves in early August, the weekend of the first Monday in September, and in late September promoting grape ripening and accelerating the growth cycle, allowing many wineries to receive white wine varieties before the wildfires began.

Many red wine varieties were harvested earlier than normal, picking the grapes in advance of the fires in late September, allowing the red wines to be produced.

A thorough analysis of the impact of the smoke was conducted, and although production was lower than usual, only wines worthy of bearing Napa Valley on the label were bottled.
