Green Valley is heavily influenced by fog flowing in from the sea, which reduces the amount of sunlight during the day, resulting in an excellent balance of fruitiness, acidity, alcohol and aromatic components for Pinot Noir.

The grapes are carefully hand-picked when they are ripe, and about 80% of the stems are removed.

It expresses the pure flavor of fruit, a cool sensation, and complexity.

Gary Farrell once took the world by storm, captivating wine lovers with his high-quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

After his retirement, Teresa Heredia was appointed head winemaker in 2012 under Bill Price, the new owner of Kistler and Durrell Vineyards. After graduating from UC Davis, she worked for Joseph Phelps in Napa and Freestone in Sonoma, and was named "the winemaker to watch" by the San Francisco Chronicle.

Having learned traditional winemaking at Domaine de Montille in Burgundy, she produces wines of excellent quality that are different from the rich style of Garry's time and fully express the elegance of grapes grown in the cool regions of Sonoma.

Gary also loves the wines she makes and occasionally visits the winery to buy some for his home.
