Favia Erickson Winegrowers was founded in 2003 as a collaboration between husband and wife duo Annie Favia and Andy Erickson.
In the fall of 2016, the company purchased the Antonio Carbone Wine Cellar, a stone-built winery in Coombsville built in 1886, and renovated it into a winery exclusively for Favia.
Favia has released its second wine, named after its historic name (pronounced Carbone in English, Carbone in Italian).
★The retail price of Favia's red wine in the 2018 VTG will be 38,000 yen (excluding tax), and from the 2019 VTG it will be sold to countries around the world by négociants in Bordeaux, France (the same as Opus One), and the retail price is expected to be close to 60,000 yen.

Tasting Comments
It has a rich and concentrated Napa Cabernet Sauvignon blanc finish that can be enjoyed immediately after release.
The Cabernet Sauvignon brings out hints of black berries and cassis, as well as firm tannins and rich fruit power in the center, while the Merlot provides a supple mouthfeel and mellow fruitiness, and the Cabernet Franc gives off a chorus of complex depth and spicy flavors.
The finish is further enhanced by complex layers of Asian spices, licorice and dried herbs.
An introductory wine that inherits the spirit of Favia's red wines.
It can be enjoyed immediately after release, and there is plenty of room for further aging.
