Like gentle waves, tropical fruit flavors are followed by the perfect bitterness of pine. This is Orderville!
Modern Times' standard IPA. This "Orderville" is brewed with Mosaic hops and several other hops with a dank (Note 1) nuance. Not only does the fruity character of the hops come to the forefront, but the unique hop aroma that is hard to describe runs through the drinker's body. It uses a type of English yeast that is not often seen on the West Coast, and expresses the yeast-derived fruitiness that sets it apart from West Coast style IPAs.
The name "Orderville" comes from the name of a town in Utah, in the western United States. In 1875, a group of people who "based their human values on nature or natural things" founded the town to realize the United Order (Note 2) way of life. The people of this community aimed to achieve a utopia by realizing equality, with everyone working for the same wage and eating the same food. Originally, a limited edition wet hop IPA was called Orderville, but Modern Times liked the name so much that they named this standard IPA Orderville.
When poured into a glass, it has a hazy golden color with a pure white head. The aroma is of berries, peaches, stone fruits, pineapple, papaya, melon, and plenty of dank (note 1) nuances. The taste is bursting with juicy tropical fruits, with a cracker-like dry malt backbone and pine bitterness stimulating the tongue. The finish is long-lasting with hop spiciness and green bitterness.
Due to its cloudy appearance, it is often mistaken for an East Coast style IPA, such as a "New England Style IPA" or "Vermont Style IPA," but the taste itself is closer to the West Coast style, so be careful not to be mistaken. This is a perfect example of the East-West fusion that is unique to Modern Times, which produces original hybrid beers.
Note 1) A term used to describe the aroma and flavor of beer, and refers to a unique nuance similar to marijuana.
Note 2) Collectivist and communist ideology in Christianity. Assets and possessions did not belong to a specific person, but were shared voluntarily. Any excess assets of an individual or family were distributed to those less fortunate through the church.
