Well-drained clay soil containing tuff, Cordone Speronato. Remontage under temperature control, long fermentation. MLF fermentation immediately after pressing. Aged in French large barrels (750L) for 36 months. The number "123" is an old register number. The winery was founded in 1950 and owns about 50 hectares of land in the northeast of Montalcino. The current owner, Patricia, established the winery in 1989 and is now run by her two daughters. In recent years, it has become a dynamic winery that has continued to grow, including expanding its facilities and opening a new tasting room.

The gently sloping vineyard of about 10 hectares is a single vineyard adjacent to the cantina. This sunny land is a fitting place for the origin of the name "Solaria" (= sunroom). The vineyard is located at an altitude of 300-350m, and the soil is a mixture of clay, sand, and galestro. The grapes are planted with an average age of about 25 years. Owner and winemaker Patricia Cencione is a kind mother of two daughters, but she has taken over the vineyard of her great grandfather, the first representative of the Brunello Consorzio, and continues to make wine. Always calm and gentle, she never says much, but she carefully and uncompromisingly concentrates on the most basic and important process of drawing out the potential of the grapes. She knows the vineyards inside and out, and prepares grapes for each plot of the vineyard, and in the first year of the aging period, she checks the condition of the liquid and uses large barrels and old barriques to age the wine. From the second year onwards, the wine is hardly touched in the barrels and is left to mature. The idea is that the wines that are in the best condition in the barrels are called Brunello and are then allowed to mature further. They make wine by believing in the inherent power of the grapes and avoiding unnecessary things. Almost all of the staff, including the owner, are women, and this winery exudes feminine care and attention. Patricia's grandfather was also the first head of the Consorzio. They have firmly inherited the DNA of Montalcino.
