Spicy and rich wine with anise running through the mouth
Dark purple, rich, dark fruit, strong aromas of cedar and sandalwood spice, ripe, dense, concentrated Rutherford fruit, and firm yet well-integrated acidity in the mouth. Anise runs through its core, leading to a long and distinctive finish. The tannins are all over the place, but the wine is sophisticated and can be drunk even when young. Cold soak for 5 days, fermentation for 16 days. Free-run juice and squeezed juice are mixed and aged in barrels. 40% new French oak barrels (Darnajou and Taransau barrels used).
Alc: 14.6%
