The first scents you'll notice are wild strawberries, cedar, rose petals, herbs and raspberries, followed by scents of forest floor, pine resin and cherries.

The flavors of wild dark berries, forest floor, herbs, exotic spices, flowers, and tea lead to a wonderfully long finish. Bodega Vineyards is located on a steep slope and in a remote area, about 4 miles from the ocean. The fields are a diverse ecosystem of redwoods, cedars, oaks, and wildflowers, making it a wonderful environment for the vines. The project RAEN was started with the desire to make a world-class California Pinot Noir with our own hands. The name of the winery is an acronym of "Research in Agriculture and Enology Naturally," which represents our passion for agriculture and winemaking. The rain that falls on the fields is eventually absorbed by the trees and transformed into grapes, which are the raw material for wine. The name of the winery also refers to the rain (Rain), which is the source of life for these grapes. Laine is a fresh winery established in Sonoma Coast in 2013 by two thoroughbreds in the California wine industry, Carlo and Dante Mondavi. Carlo and Dante are the grandsons of Robert Mondavi, known as the "father of California wine," and their father Tim Mondavi of "Continuum." Born and raised in Napa Valley, Carlo and Dante were exposed to wine at Robert Mondavi Winery and Opus One from an early age, and have been extensively involved in cultivation and brewing since the establishment of "Continuum," which was launched in 2005, under the supervision of their father Tim. Carlo and Dante were also fascinated by Pinot Noir due to the influence of their grandfather Robert and father Tim. Their father Tim, who was in charge of brewing at Robert Mondavi in its heyday, was known as a pioneer of Pinot Noir, and his sons inherited his strong passion for Burgundy wine. In 2013, Carlo and Dante began their pursuit of Pinot Noir on the foundation of Rain. This was the moment when "World Class Pinot Noir" was engraved in the history of the Mondavi family. Royal St. Robert Cuvée is based on the motto of "pursuit of quality" that their grandfather Robert taught them. It is made from grapes from west-facing vineyards in Green Valley, in the Russian River Valley, known for its harsh environment for grapes. A small amount of grapes from the Occidental vineyards are blended to add complexity to the aroma of the wine. The home field is located in the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA, about 3 km inland from the Pacific Ocean, north of the town of Jenner. The climate is very cool, which allows for a long growing season. This vineyard is located above the fog that occurs every morning, allowing the grapes to continue photosynthesizing. The bodega is surrounded by sequoia trees and wild plants, and is located in a unique Sonoma grape growing region that is currently undergoing an application for AVA as Freestone Occidental. This is the field with the lowest daytime temperatures and the longest growing season. The result is a wine that combines balance and depth. The wine label has the AVA name printed largest on it, giving it a somewhat French wine feel. This is Carlo and Dante's wish to have people taste their wines that bring out the individuality and terroir of each region, rather than appealing to their own names as winemakers or the brand Rain.
