Pesenti's vineyards were planted in the 1920s on calcareous soil that was once an ancient sea bed. It is certified organic, stock-bought, and dry-land farmed. It is characterized by a mineral feeling and floral scent unique to this soil. Aromas of bright red fruit, black raspberry, sweet tart and chalky minerality. Smooth and silky on the palate, with lively grape acidity and a touch of passion fruit in the aftertaste. Vinous 95 points, Wine Advocate 93 points
